The Velvet Underground slave 50. obljetnicu limitiranim vinilnim box setom

Iako nisu bili pretjerano komercijalno uspješan bend, The Velvet Underground su bili jedan od vrlo važnih sastava u rock and roll povijesti.

Bend kojeg su osnovali Lou Reed, multiinstrumentalist John Cale, gitarist Sterling Morrison i bubnjar Angus MacLise dospio je svojim utjecajem u neke od najvažnijih stranica rock and roll enciklopedija. A na 50. obljetnicu koju će slaviti i u 2018. godini, dobit ćemo limitirano vinilno box set izdanje. Ova edicija se sastoji od četiri studijska albuma i rekonstruirane “izgubljene” ploče “1969”, ali i knjižice od 48 stranica s vintage fotografijama. Svi albumi će biti izrađeni od 180 gramskog vinila i to u stereo tehnologiji. Izdanje izlazi 23. veljače i bit će limitirano na 1 000 kopija.

Nedavno su preostali živući članovi The Velvet Undergrounda, John Cale i Moe Tucker, koja je kasnije na bubnjevima zamijenila originalnog Angusa MacLisea, ponovno zajedno bili na pozornici i izveli pjesmu “I’m Waiting for the Man”.
